HELP CELEBRATE OUR 5OTH YEAR!
The Canadian Rose Society will be celebrating its 50th
anniversary next year with a
3-day Canada-wide Conference at the Royal Botanical
Gardens in Burlington, Ontario.
There will be a wine & cheese reception and a notable speaker on
the evening of Friday, July 1st in the rose garden of the RBG.
On Saturday, July 2nd there will be a CRS Flower Show with
entries from across Canada,
hosted by the Hamilton Burlington Rose Society. The show will be open
to the public in the afternoon. Saturday will be a full day
conference with speakers who are well-known on the international scene;
workshops led by rose experts; tours of the RBG rose gardens; a display of
the CRS Rose photo competition and sales of the commemorative poster.
Saturday evening there will be a celebration banquet with a keynote
speaker.
On Sunday July 3rd, there will be more speakers and an
opportunity to hear what’s going on in other provinces and around the world
regarding roses. Optional tours of Niagara
and the surrounding area can be arranged.
Reduced rates for hotel rooms will be available at nearby locations so
you can stay for the full conference or just sign up for Saturday and make
it a one-day event! Don’t forget to mark your calendar for this
exciting conference. Come to learn, to share and to meet with other Rosarians from across Canada at the CRS’s Golden Jubilee!
During the next two months, we will be working on organizing smaller
events across the country.
