The judges wanted to share
the following tips. ·
Even though this
contest is through the CRS, don’t forget that it is a photography
contest, read the class’s description carefully. ·
Make sure that
your photograph is well focused. Even
the slightest soft focus can take away from a good photograph. ·
When printing your
own photographs, use good quality photography paper and make sure that your
printer is not low on ink. ·
The best
photograph doesn’t necessarily require the best rose specimen. ·
Be aware of
surrounding items that may take away from your photograph. ·
If there isn’t
enough natural light, use reflective material or any other light source. ·
Finally, start
taking those photographs early and often as you never know when it may be
chosen as the winning entry next year! You
may view the winning photographs on the CRS’s website. All photographs will be used for a display
at the Conference and Rose Show to be held July 1st weekend; other
plans are in process to display them at other venues. |
