THE ANNUAL MEETING OF
THE CANADIAN ROSE
SOCIETY Dear Member: Notice is hereby given that
the Annual Meeting of the Canadian Rose Society will be held on Sunday March,
20th 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fairview
Mall Library, Room A, 4th Floor, 35 Fairview Mall Drive, Toronto, Ontario (east of Don Mills Road, one block north of
Sheppard Ave. A map will be in the
March CommPoster). The guest speaker will be Robin Dening of Brentwood Nursery,
Vancouver. He will speak about new
ideas on growing roses suitable for Canadian gardens. His talk will include climbers, shrubs and
covering. In accordance with the Bylaws of the Society, the Nominating Committee
has nominated the following members of the Society for election to the Board
of Directors at the Annual Meeting for a period of one year. Marion Dorosh

Rachel Flood Janet McKinlay Marie Pearson Larry Sherk
Patrick White Marie Farnady It shall be the privilege of any member of the Society to nominate any
other member of the Society as a Director, other than and in addition to
those nominated by the Nominating Committee.
Such additional nominations must be signed by the proposer and the
seconder, and in all cases require the consent of the member concerned to act
if elected and must be returned to the Secretary not later than forty ( 40)
days prior to the date of the Annual Meeting The Secretary shall send by mail at least twenty ( 20 ) days prior to the
Annual Meeting a report ( list of nominations ) to each member together with
a proxy ballot, only in the event that more than fifteen ( 15 ) members are
nominated to the Board of Directors. This notification includes any associate
members in your family membership, all of whom are entitled to vote. We look forward to seeing
